Apple also have to upgrade the camera on iPhone3GS. Where previously only had the camera on the iPhone3G large amount of 2-megapixel sensor, this time iPhone3GS have amounted to 3-megapixel sensor coupled with auto-focus feature, tap to focus, and ability to take video.

Battery life is also of particular concern for Apple. Most smartphone users want a battery that is capable of providing power for a long time smartphone. Apple states that iPhone3GS can survive for 12 hours of talk time on 2G networks and 5 hours of talk time on 3G networks. This smartphone also can deliver the Internet over 5 hours on 3G networks, nine hours by using Wi-Fi. In standby, iPhone 3GS can survive for 300 hours.

Apple also announced the price for this smartphone, which is USD 199 for the iPhone 16 GB and $ 299 for 32 GB. 3GS iPhone will soon be circulating in the U.S. starting on June 19, 2009. For iPhone 3G, Apple lowered the price up to USD 99.
